Introducing Betta Fish
Betta fish additionally renowned as Siamese fighting fish are the most preferred variety of pet fish as they are lovely in their individual ways. Pretty much all Betta fish have beautifully coloured long fins and scales. Different shades of red and blue are what makes the male Bettas stand out that little bit more than the females. As striking as they are however, the male Bettas are also more violent. It is also common in certain countries for Betta fish to be placed together in tanks purely for the purpose of betting. It is common sense to add a heater that fits with your tank to maintain a warmth of at least 70 degrees in aquariums keeping Betta fish.
Apart from this, Bettas need a measure of small insects, or insect larvae along with normal regime of flake foods, or frozen fried fish foods. Bettas should be given a good amount of space in their aquariums to allow them both more breathing space and give them ample opportunity to move around their long thins unobstructed. Betta fish are labyrinth which means they breath oxygen from air. This in turn means they need a good quality of Betta.
Additional Attention Necessary
It is a common piece of information that Betta fish possess a pretty forceful temper. Having 2 male Bettas in the same tank is not advised, this goes along with putting new fish in with your existing Bettas. This could easily turn into an unpleasent situation with the stonger fish can attack and cause damged to waeker fidh. Seperating Bettas that are fighting should be done for the safe keeping of any others.
If 2 male Betta fish are to be placed together in the same fish tank then you will need fish condos or mesh dividers to feep the bettas seperately. A fish tank with Bettas should if possible be kept covered.
